Description of the situation Because the modules are connected in series, and in a series connection the current of all modules is only as high as the current of the weakest module, the yield of the entire PV system drops sharply with shading, different orientations and different module tilts. Because of the series connection, the modules marked in red above all produce significantly less power.
The solution is the Power Optimizer M600-E With BRC optimisation, the current is raised to the level of the unaffected modules by reducing the voltage in the same proportion. The other modules, marked in green above, are no longer slowed down, and the energy of the affected modules is used. Hot spots are avoided and the maximum possible yield is achieved. This way the entire roof area can be used optimally.
